Good morning, Im looking for some help to complete the 2023 tax. We are a couple living in Harderwijk (my partner is Dutch, I am Italian). We both work as employees (~70 K + ~50K). We are not married but we are tax partners. My partner is paying the Hypothec for the house (total 230 K, started in 2016). We have 1 son (3-year-old) and he has 2 teenagers that live with us 50% of the week (12 and 14 year old). We don't have much savings (maybe 10.000 between the both of us, in back account, Shares and ETFs).
As this is relatively simple, so far, we did all by ourselves. But since January 2023 I became owner of a house in Italy and I am receiving a rent there: because of the rent, I am obliged by Italian law to declare and pay taxes there. Theoretically European citizen have some rules in these cases to avoid pay 2 times taxes on the same item, but here is where we need help.
