Loopbaancoach gezocht
Hello, I am a Ghanaian born Dutch citizen. I speak dutch fluently but because i have worked in English for so long I prefer english for professional communications. I recently moved back to the Netherlands after some 15 years of working in Ghana.
Currently I am finding it quite hard to secure a job here. Considering my experience and record of achievement I had hoped the transition would be a bit smoother.
My last role was as a Chief Marketing Officer for Hubtel, which is one of Africa’s fastest growing technology companies according to Forbes. I led the marketing, sales and customer success for the company in both Ghana and Kenya. I have run my own agency on two occasions leading the creative team and also worked for Vodafone as Brand and Online Marketing Manager.
More recently I also founded a mentoring program and a co-founded and online media platform that I still help manage remotely.
Somehow, I am still struggling to even get called for interviews. None at all in the last 3 moths of applying for over 30 positions.
My concern is that I am perhaps not communicating my value correctly for this market.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
